R-Type was an absolute smash hit in the arcades when it was released, and it's sequel basically took the same formula, and improved on it in every way!
The same AMAZING quality soundtrack, creative levels and edgy graphics are back, and don't forget the challenger factor... oh yes... that's all back too! :-)
If you haven't at least died 100 times on an R-Type game before, do yourself a favour and sink a bucket load of credits into this outstanding 80's shooter!
