For our 200th machine here at 1UP Arcade, we're hyped to add our first Console-Cade release to the arcade floor, and what better game to feature than Streets of Rage 2!
Running on original Sega hardware in a glorious 33" CRT Viper cabinet, all the action of Sega's best fighting game are now here to enjoy in a real arcade with buttons and sticks! Famously known for being Sega's answer to Capcom's Final Fight (which had an exclusive release on the Super Nintendo at the time), Streets of Rage 2 (SOR2) features addictive gameplay, and one of, if not the best game soundtrack of the 16-bit era!
Game Facts & Trivia
We know that SOR2 was actually never released in the arcades... but it should have been!!! That's why we have lovingly modified an original Sega Mega Drive console, to directly interface with a JAMMA arcade machine for this custom and truly unique arcade experience! :-)
